You know we love a good photo contest so when we found out that FotoWeekDC just wrapped up their 2011 one, we just had to share their results. As you can see from our post about their contest last year, they gets high quality submissions from very talented photographers. (You may even notice some photographers’ work we’ve featured right here on My Modern Met.)

Started in 2008, FotoWeekDC is a weeklong celebration of the power of photography. It’s a photography festival that showcases bold and exciting work in different genres including photojournalism, fine art, and nature. Here are 15 of our favorites from the winners’ pool.
